Founded in 1847 in Paris, Cartier is a leading luxury Maison selling branded Jewellery, watches, leather goods, writing instruments, eyewear, and other luxury goods. The Company markets, distributes, and sells the products through its own retail boutiques and wholesale channels and also provides after-sales care for the products and offers a repair service for Cartier branded watches and Jewellery. With over 7,500 people, the company operates in more than 60 countries and has over 200 boutiques. The Company is part of the Richemont group (the Group) and its ultimate parent company is Compagnie Financière Richemont SA. The Group owns several luxury brands (Maisons) in the Jewellery, Specialist Watchmakers, online distributors, and other (primarily fashion and accessories) sectors. In 2021, Cartier pursued the transformation of its boutiques worldwide to offer clients more immersive retail experiences. The boutique at Rue du Rhône 35, in Geneva, was the 100th renovated boutique endorsing the new retail concept. Additionally, In 2022, Cartier also pursued the transformation of its boutiques worldwide and reopened several flagship stores, including the two temples of rue de la Paix in Paris and the 5th Avenue Mansion in New York, as well as boutiques in Seoul, Chengdu, Sydney and elsewhere.
