Daimler Truck was incorporated in 1895 and its headquarters is in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany. It is a commercial vehicle manufacturer, with over 40 production sites in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America and numerous sales and service locations in most countries in the world, and more than 100,000 employees. The company offers light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, city and intercity buses, coaches, and bus chassis. In December 2021, the Daimler Trucks & Buses division was spun off from the former Daimler AG. Daimler Truck Holding AG now is an independent listed company. The remaining Daimler AG with the Cars & Vans divisions was renamed to Mercedes-Benz Group AG as of Feb 1, 2022. In its global network, the company develops and produces trucks and buses that are marketed under the Freightliner, Thomas Built Buses, Western Star, Mercedes-Benz, FUSO, BharatBenz, RIZON, and Setra brands.
