Roche Ltd. also known as F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG was established in 1896 and is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. The company specializes in in-vitro diagnostics and drugs for cancer and transplantation as well as an active member of other major therapeutic areas with a high medical need such as autoimmune diseases, inflammatory diseases, virology, metabolic disorders, and diseases of the central nervous system. Its operating businesses are organized into two divisions including pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. The Pharmaceuticals Division comprises the two business segments Roche Pharmaceuticals (including Genentech in the US) and Chugai. In 2023, the company had approximately 103,605 employees and generate CHF 60,441 million in revenue. The company has a global presence in more than 150 countries. Roche operates a diverse array of research, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical development teams across 17 countries on four continents.
