Global Telecom Holding (GTH) began as Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH), a member of the Orascom group of companies established in 1976. In 2012, OTH merged with Vimplecom Ltd, creating Global Telecom Holding and the world's sixth-largest mobile telecommunications provider by number of subscribers with more than 86 million customers. The GTH’s country of incorporation was Egypt and its headquarters was in the Netherlands. Global Telecom runs GSM networks in Algeria (Djezzy), Pakistan (Jazz), and Bangladesh (Banglalink). In addition, it owns Mobilink Microfinance, one of the leading microfinance and banking banks in Pakistan. On 9 September 2019, GTH's shares have been delisted from the Egyptian Stock Exchange. It is an Egyptian private company and is subject to corresponding laws and regulations. In 2021, the company had 3 employees.
