The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates is a government body that was established in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi, UAE in 1971. In May 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced the change in its official name to the “Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It serves the residents of the U.A.E. through global directorates and diplomatic missions. It develops and implements the country's foreign policy. It also provides diplomatic passport issuance, vehicle export, vehicle ownership certificate issuance, visa issuance and renewal, and more. The Ministry’s tasks include planning the foreign policy of the state and supervising its implementation, managing state relations and regulating communications between state ministries, concluding international agreements and treaties, monitoring all diplomatic and consular representatives of the state, and many other activities.
