Healthcare BPO sector is emerging as a major job opportunity hub for healthcare professionals. India has emerged as a hot destination for BPO work in the recent years. This is majorly due to a large number of resources being able to communicate fluently in English and hardworking efforts put by companies in India that perform BPO work. In India, ambitious government schemes for rural BPOs is creating more employment. The government is providing subsidy of up to Rs 1 lakh for each BPO seat set in a tier-II or tier-III town. The scheme aims to provide thousands of job opportunities in smaller cities and with a target of 48,000 seats. Companies such as Amazon, Tata Consultancy Service and Karvy Data Management have started to set up their operations in the country. Philippines being one of the leading call center companies had encountered 17% growth in the BPO industry creating 1.3 million jobs in 2016. According to the IT-Business Processing Association of the Philippines (iBPAP), BPO sector of Philippines is expected to generate $40 billion revenue by the end of 2022. Around 7.5 million direct and indirect jobs and 500,000 jobs outside the National Capital Region are expected to be observed by the end of 2022.
