Launches of New Military Land Vehicles to Drive the Market

Published: Jul 2023

The global military land vehicles market is anticipated to grow at a considerable CAGR of 4.1% during the forecast period. The primary factor bolstering the market growth includes the development and launches of new military land vehicles equipped with advanced technologies, geopolitical factors, and enhanced capabilities. These product launches are done with an aim to promote competition and innovation while replacing the aging and traditional equipment. For instance, in October 2022, The Indian Army inducted a new armored vehicle called Bharat Forge, which is made in India. The Bharat Forge is a 4x4 armored vehicle designed to operate in high-altitude areas and can carry up to six soldiers. It is equipped with a 360-degree camera, a GPS, and a fire suppression system. The vehicle has been developed by Bharat Forge in collaboration with the Indian Army's Infantry School and is part of the Indian government's "Make in India" initiative, which aims to create a conducive environment for investments and incentivize dedicated investments into manufacturing in India.

Furthermore, in July 2022, The Tata Group delivered an indigenously developed Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicle (QRFV) to the Indian Army. The QRFV is an armored personnel carrier with mine protection and comes in a 4x4 configuration. It is designed to serve as a quick-reaction vehicle for the Indian Army and can carry up to 14 people, including the driver and commander. The QRFV offers STANAG level 4 protection against up to 14kg and 21kg of explosives. The vehicle was developed by Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in collaboration with the Indian Army's Infantry School.

In September 2020, Arquus introduced its new range of military trucks called ARMIS, which includes 4x4, 6x6, and 8x8 configurations. The ARMIS trucks are built on fully military drivelines, developed on Arquus's equity, and are reliable, dependable, and robust. Arquus highlighted its ARMIS military truck portfolio through a virtual tour in the absence of Eurosatory, a trade show for land defense and security.
