In June 2020, Seoul startup Robot Factory has taken to Kickstarter to launch their PingPong modular robot platform, which can be used to create a myriad of different robots, such as snake bots, drawing bots, and robotic arms, among hundreds of others. PingPong is based around modular Cubes each outfitted with a stepper motor, servo motor interface, rechargeable battery, extension port and a host of sensors, including proximity, accelerometer, and gyroscope. They’re also equipped with BLE 5.0 and an IR sensor to control the Cubes wirelessly through a companion app.
