Global Tyrosine Protein Kinase Receptor Market Valued at $67.3 billion in 2025, Set to Grow at a 7.9% CAGR

Published: Apr 2026

Tyrosine protein kinase receptor market was valued at $67.3 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $141.9 billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 7.9% during the forecast Period (2026-2035). Regulatory support via accelerated approval pathways is hastening access to advanced tyrosine kinase inhibitors for difficult cancers, enhancing the use of receptor-targeted therapies and driving market growth. For instance, in February 2026, the FDA granted accelerated approval to zongertinib, a kinase inhibitor, for adults with unresectable or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with HER2 tyrosine kinase domain activating mutations, identified through an FDA-authorized test. This approval is part of the FDA Commissioner’s National Priority Review Voucher pilot program aimed at expediting the review of products addressing significant national priorities.

FDA Clears Novel Kinase Therapies for CNS and Tumor Treatments

  • In December 2025, Lynk Pharmaceuticals received FDA approval for its allosteric TYK2 inhibitor, LNK01006, enabling human clinical trials. This oral inhibitor selectively targets the JH2 domain of TYK2, which is vital for the IL-12 and IL-23 signaling pathways linked to Th1 and Th17 cell differentiation. These cells are significant in CNS inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS). By inhibiting TYK2, LNK01006 aims to reduce the activation of pro-inflammatory T cells and lower CNS inflammation. Preclinical studies show high brain penetration and potential efficacy in MS treatment.
  • In April 2025, the FDA granted full approval to VITRAKVI (larotrectinib), a receptor tyrosine kinase (TRK) inhibitor, for adult and pediatric patients with solid tumors characterized by NTRK gene fusions.
