The Panda Knight packs a 30kW/110Nm electric motor and a 17kWh battery, providing an impressive range of 200 km between each charge. It offers both slow AC charging, which takes around 4.5 hours for a full charge, and fast DC charging which takes just 30 minutes. The Panda Knight has a tech-savvy interior that boasts an 8.0-inch central multimedia touchscreen and a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster, which are further complemented by rugged storage cutaways, a two-spoke steering wheel, and topographic-map-themed synthetic leather seat trim. With prices starting at an affordable rate of ¥39,900 (approximately $5,500) in China, the Panda Knight aligns perfectly with the current adventure vehicle trend in the region.

Wuling Electrifies the Philippines with Affordable Microcars

In a report published on 28 August 2023, it was shared that GRC Motors is leading a wave of new electric vehicle offerings in the Philippines, and one standout player is Wuling, which is being distributed by GRC Motors. This manufacturer is a joint venture among SAIC Motor, GM China, and Liuzhou Wuling Motors and has introduced three all-electric models to the Filipino market. 

First up is the Macaron, a variation of the Hongguang mini-EV, priced at P663,000. With a range of 170 km and an electric motor output of 20 kW and 85 Nm, it offers an affordable and eco-friendly commuting option. 

Second is the Game Boy, a higher-trim version of the Mini EV, which comes with a range of 300 km, a 26.5 kWh battery, and an electric motor output of 30 kW and 110 Nm, all for P893,000. 

Finally, the third, Bingo, is available in two variants and offers practicality with ranges of 203 km and 333 km, both equipped with a 50 kW electric motor and spacious interiors. 

All 3 of these micro EVs come in vibrant food-inspired hues and offer essential features for urban commuters. With their affordable pricing and eco-friendly credentials, Wuling's electric cars are poised to make a significant impact in the Philippines and the microcars market.
